About me
I am fascinated with water and happiest by a sea shore, looking for shells and interesting stones or simply gazing across vast expanses of my beloved Danube, the river I grew up by.
As I originally come from a warmer climate, some of the sunshine is passed onto my earthenware collection of bowls, platters and jugs. These individual, one off vessels are colourful and fun, sometimes depicting catfish, an elusive and secretive creature.
By contrast, my bone china vessels are calm and ethereal. They are translucent when lit up and exude clarity and optimism.
I use varied techniques such as slab building, throwing and casting. Most of my work is accentuated with gold and mother of pearl lustres and fired several times.
Each ceramic piece I make is unique, made by me from scratch and my hope is that it brings my customers some happiness and beauty.
I undertake commissions and can make personalised ceramics.
